Orphans

I think my parents were/are emotional orphans and I've been taking on the role of their parent emotionally for a long time.

...But sometimes I wish I have my own (emotional) parents. I find that I keep looking for them everywhere and maybe it's time to accept that I am the one who has to be there for myself. Still...it makes me happy to think of Barbara Sher as my kick-butt-spunky-gutzy-quirky-audacious-forever-young-at-heart fairy godmother :)
